Catalog description

Prerequisites: MATH 107 with a grade of C or better or by placement. Discrete mathematics is presented through the lens of information technology. Concrete examples from the IT field are utilized to cover topics including sets, functions, number theory, logic, graphs, trees, and coding theory. Students explore how these mathematical tools support computation, data representation, and communication systems in IT.
