Catalog description
This course will be a deep dive in the software architecture of a game application. Students will work on prototype projects to hone their skills as a game software engineer. Students will build a simpler 2D game project based on their own custom built engine and a final 3D game project. Throughout the semester students will learn about rendering pipelines, collision systems, resource managers, and other core features of a game engine. Students will also do their own deep dive into an area of interest in game programming. This course is recommended for students with experience in C/C++ or another high-level programming language.
