Prerequisite: IE 686 . Provide a thorough understanding of the role of Healthcare Enterprise Systems in healthcare organizations. A detailed study of electronic health records, computerized physician order entry, and meaningful use standards. Design and implementation of enterprise level healthcare information systems, advanced desicion support tools, and process mapping methods for optimal delivery of cost effective care. Analytical and quantitative methods that can be used to evaluate healthcare business processes, determine data requirements, and plan operating procrdures.
