Prerequisites: HONR 493 . Restrictions: Registration requires senior standing; Agreement of a faculty advisor and approval of the department and the Honors College are required. The second part of a two-semester undergraduate thesis. Students will work closely with a thesis advisor in a specific area of the advisor’s expertise. Students will learn how to formulate a hypothesis, identify relevant literature and methods to research their selected topic through analyzing and interpreting data, evidence, and information, and describe work with an oral defense and written thesis. An appropriate research methods course or equivalent research experience at the discretion of the department and the Honors College is needed.
