Catalog description

Prerequisites: FRSC 201 and FRSC 307 . This course is designed to prepare students for the technical foundation necessary to properly capture digital images. It will teach students the application of photographic principles to legal and scientific matters and focus on specialized areas of photography, such as crime scene, aerial, underwater, low-light, videography, multi-spectral imaging, and macro photography. This course will Utilize Fuji digital IR/UV cameras, Alternate Light Source, drone, Photoshop software, and Faro 3D scanning station. Additionally, more current topics of LiDAR, and scene mapping topics associated with crime scenes will included. Students will master the fundamental skills pertaining to the capture of documentation-type and evidentiary-type images and explore their usefulness within the justice system and legal admissibility.
