Catalog description

Prerequisites: ECE 252 . Restrictions: The course is open for students majoring in EE and COE with junior (and above) standing; Students from other majors can take this course with advisor permit. This course will prepare students to learn how to use AI models on computer systems for training and inference. The course is composed of two main parts: 1) fundamental AI models including multi-layer perceptron, convolutional neural networks, recurrent neural networks, attention and transformers, graph neural networks, etc.; and 2) state-of-the-art hardware and parallel computing infrastructure to train AI models on modern computer systems.
