Catalog description
Prerequisites: CS 375 or CS 370 . This course introduces the principles, architectures, and programming techniques required to build distributed systems that support modern AI workloads. Students learn distributed computing fundamentals, scalable data processing, distributed training of machine learning models, scheduling, fault tolerance, and deployment patterns used in large-scale AI systems. Hands-on assignments use contemporary frameworks such as Ray, PyTorch Distributed, Spark, and Kubernetes.
