Catalog description

Prerequisites: ENGL 102 with a grade of C or higher, and ( AD 150 or COM 201 or COM 231 or HIST 2** or HIST 213 or HIST 214 or HUM 2** or HUM 211 or HUM 212 ). This class will center on developing cinematic literacy through the analysis of selected films, exploring their depiction of artifacts, objects, interior environments, and architectural elements, alongside critical essays that examine their themes and visual storytelling. Movies studied will be limited to those that postulate new, or unique, environments rather than those films that faithfully document reality.
