Catalog description

Prerequisites: CS 608 or CS 645 or IT 696 or instructor approval. In-depth study of the security and privacy issues associated with the massive amount of data that is collected, stored, shared and distributed in today's society. New paradigms are needed to address the security/privacy challenges when data is outsourced at untrusted servers (such as in cloud computing), when data is anonymized in order to be shared among untrusted parties, or when copyrighted data needs to be protected from unauthorized use.
