Catalog description

Prerequisites: CS 350 or CS 351 with a grade of C or better. This course introduces fundamental techniques for identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities in computer systems, networks, and applications. Students gain hands-on experience in controlled environments while learning about common software and network attacks, basic exploit methods, and defensive strategies such as system hardening and secure coding. Ethical and legal considerations in cybersecurity are also emphasized.
