Catalog description
Prerequisite: CS 351 with a grade C or better. This course introduces the foundations of modern cryptography and the core primitives used to provide confidentiality, integrity, and authenticity. Topics include symmetric and public-key encryption (e.g., AES, RSA, Diffie-Hellman), hash functions and message authentication, digital signatures, randomness and security definitions, and selected cryptographic protocols and applications.
