Catalog description

Prerequisites: ( CS 106 or SDET 101 ) and CET 313 and CET 314 and CET 322 . This course addresses safety issues in construction as mandated by the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and related regulations. Topics include hazard identification, accident prevention, personal protective equipment, and safe practices across various construction operations. The course also introduces emerging smart sensing and monitoring technologies aligned with advanced construction technologies to enhance site safety and worker health. This course emphasizes regulatory compliance and the application of technology-driven safety management but does not issue OSHA certification cards.
