Catalog description

Prerequisites: BME 301 , MATH 222 , BME 210 . Biomedical data is everywhere, and so are the dynamic systems that acquire and process it. This course equips students with the computational skills to analyze and interpret biomedical signals and systems using both classical methods and modern AI-assisted tools. Students will learn Fourier analysis, filtering, sampling theory, and system modeling, and then apply these techniques to real datasets spanning neurophysiology, biomechanics, tissue engineering, and medical imaging. Through hands-on MATLAB labs, students develop efficient analysis workflows and critical evaluation skills.
