Aerial Dance III
University of New Hampshire-Main Campus · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
Aerial Dance III is an advanced-level course designed for experienced aerial dance students who have successfully completed Aerial Dance II ( THDA 665 ) or equivalent training. This course deepens technical proficiency on multiple aerial apparatus while emphasizing choreographic development, ensemble creation, and performance artistry. Students will work on complex sequences, dynamic transitions, drops, and multi-apparatus work (including cube, triangle, rope, and triple trapeze), expand their rigging literacy, and collaborate to create large-scale group works. The semester culminates in an Aerial Dance Showcase in which Aerial III students are responsible for opening and closing multi-apparatus group pieces, and a solo or duet aerial work on an apparatus of their choice (approved by instructor).
