Catalog description

Introduces students to the basic values, theories, and skills of social work practice. This is accomplished using lectures, discussions, readings, written exercises, and using laboratory and practice sessions. The intent is for students to use the experiential parts of the course (group work and interview simulations) to apply the conceptual and theoretical knowledge gained from lectures, class discussions and readings.
