Supply Chain Management External Experience

Catalog description

This course is a credit-bearing, experiential learning course which may be taken as an alternative to SC 775 (SCM Team Capstone) by senior students in the Supply Chain Management (SCM) option. In this course, students engage in a semester-long, paid co-op experience working in a supply chain-related role within an external organization. Students apply SCM concepts and tools in a professional setting, gaining firsthand exposure to industry practices, challenges, and workflows. The experience is supported by academic deliverables that encourage reflection, integration of theory with practice, and professional development. A faculty advisor oversees the academic component, coordinates with the employer, and evaluates student performance.
