Catalog description

This course prepares students to enter the recreation profession by focusing on foundational risk management principles, skills, and certifications. Topics include types of risk, personal and organizational risk awareness, first aid, CPR, AED, defensive driving, sexual harassment prevention, youth/child protection, and bloodborne pathogen management. By the end of the course, students will have the training and certification necessary to assume early-stage recreational leadership roles on and off campus.
