Geospatial Statistics

Catalog description

This course will explore the fundamentals of Geospatial Statistics and Analysis. Key topics include spatial data structures, spatial autocorrelation, visualization of spatial distributions, exploratory spatial data analysis, and spatial modeling. Students will apply sampling methods, summary statistics, spatial interpolation, geographic distributions, hotspot analysis, spatial autocorrelation, geospatial hypothesis testing, and geospatial modeling. The course will utilize a series of geospatial software to complete this work such as GeoDa, R, and ArcGIS Pro.
