Catalog description

Introduces the design of controlled experiments and the collection and analysis of scientific data. Other topics include exploratory data analysis, discrete and continuous probability distributions, statistical process control, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, ANOVA, regression and correlation. The use of a statistical software package is an integral part of the course; interpreting and drawing conclusions from standard software output is emphasized.
