The Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) is an essential collection of concepts and procedures that lies at the heart of state regulation of commercial relationships ranging from promissory notes to secured transactions. This course provides an overview of the rest of the UCC beyond Article 2 with primary focus on Articles 3 and 9. The new Article 12, which adds a new asset category - controllable electronic records - and the 2022 UCC integrating revisions are also covered. This course will also introduce you to the on-going evolution of commercial practice in response to the transformation from purely paper-based methods and assets to electronic methods and assets.
