Catalog description
In this foundational course, students will be introduced to evidence-based practices in equity-based inclusive education, leading to improved academic, social, communication, and behavioral outcomes for all students. Through a variety of films, readings, podcasts, interviews, and fieldwork assignments, students will explore education through the lens of learners with disabilities, families, and educators' perspectives. Students in this course represent a broad array of disciplines, including special education, social work, communication disorders, family studies, occupational therapy, early childhood, and more.
