Catalog description

This course focuses on developing effective workplace communication skills across professional contexts such as reports, presentations, emails, memos, and social media posts. Students will evaluate strategies for promoting clarity, efficiency, and audience engagement, and design communication approaches tailored to specific organizational scenarios. Building on these foundations, the course explores how artificial intelligence (AI) tools—such as chatbots, virtual assistants, sentiment analysis, and content generation—can be applied to enhance, but not replace, core communication practices. Students will also analyze the ethical, professional, and organizational implications of AI in workplace communication, critically evaluating its impact on collaboration, adaptability, and overall effectiveness.
