This course focuses on microbial genome biology and the biotechnological applications of microbes and microbial systems. Topics include genome structure, comparative and metagenomic approaches, microbial engineering, and applications in health, industry, synthetic biology, and biomanufacturing . Microbial contamination and control in bioprocessing and research environments are also included.
