Catalog description

Etiology and nature of acquired speech, language, and cognitive-communication disorders in adult and geriatric populations. Behavioral characteristic, overview of informal and formal assessment methods, and common treatment approaches related to neurological and other conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, dementia, and degenerative diseases. Pre-requisite(s): SPA 331 or BIOL 223A with BIOL 223L . Pre-requisite(s): Admission to the Speech Pathology Program, or Master's Preparatory Plan in Speech Pathology or Human Health Sciences w/concentration in Speech Pathology.
