Catalog description
Introduction to the anatomy, physiology and neuromuscular systems pertaining to speech, language, and hearing. The interaction of the respiratory system with phonation and its modification by resonation and articulation will be emphasized. Neural control of speech production and the cerebral organization of language will be discussed. Pre-requisite(s): BIOL 189 or higher (The pre-requisite(s) does not apply to Masters Preparatory Plan students.)
