Catalog description

An introduction to basic sensory perception principles and the underlying neural processes. Exploration of the prevalent research methods used in sensation and perception. General anatomy of the sense organs and relevant brain areas are covered, with some emphasis on the effects of injury on perception. Survey of the classic theories of sensory perception. (Formerly PSY 405) Pre-requisite(s): Psychology Majors: PSY 101 and PSY 240 ; Other Majors: PSY 101 and Junior status.
