Focus on mental health concepts and selected theoretical frameworks related to adaptive and maladaptive coping behaviors. Emphasis on use of communication in therapeutic relationships with clients of varying age groups in psychiatric settings. Reflective practice achieved in acute care and community-based clinical experiences.
