Introduction to Disability Studies

Catalog description

This course explores how disability is composed, defined, understood, and lived in contemporary life. In addition, the class will explore topics including disability rights movements in the United States, different models and theories of disability and disability identities, particularly as they relate to other forms of contemporary marginalization.
