Supervised Internship in Special Education

Catalog description

Full-time supervised practice teaching with exceptional children in a K-5 placement. Placement will be 8 weeks in an elementary classroom and 8 weeks in a special education setting. Formal application and acceptance. Maximum of 12 credits. Pre-requisite(s): Completion of ALL core and education courses. Passing score on the Praxis CORE and Praxis Subject Assessments. Due to the nature of this course, participants will not be allowed to register for any additional courses the semester they are enrolled in student teaching without direct approval of the Dean of the School of Education. S/U grading only.
