Catalog description

This course is designed to examine, evaluate, and improve curricula for young children, birth through age eight, with developmental delays and disabilities. Practical and theoretical issues related to curricula and special instructional approaches for EI/ECSE including instruction in IEP and IFSP goals and objectives will be covered. This course also emphasizes students knowledge in general and the development of specialized curricula designed to individualize learning for young children with exceptionalities. This course includes 10 hours of Field Experience. Pre-requisite(s): ECE 250 or EDSP 471 , Admission to the Teacher Preparation Program. (Pre-requisite(s) do not apply to Alternative Route to Licensure (ARL) and Alternative Route to Certification (ARC) majors.)
