Intensification of Instruction Through Multi-Tiered Systems of Support

Catalog description

This introductory course provides an overview of the multi-tiered system of support framework and how it is applied in the school setting following a cultural-ecological model. Universal Tier 1 supports, targeted Tier 2 supports, and intense Tier 3 supports will be reviewed relative to both academic and social-emotional-behavioral functioning. Roles and functions of various team members on campus will be presented as well as the use of assessment tools, data collection techniques and measures of progress.
