Legal Aspects of Special Education

Catalog description

An analysis of federal, state, and local statutes, policies and titles which affect the funding and direction of special education programs particularly as related to the development and implementation of Individual Education Programs for students with disabilities. Additional areas of inquiry will include early childhood IFSPs, medical, transition and exit documents as well as court cases which have influenced special education. Pre-requisite(s): Admission to Teacher Preparation Program and EDU 203 .
