Catalog description

This course is designed to equip teacher candidates with the social and emotional learning techniques and developmentally appropriate practices for young children birth-age 8. Students will learn about how positive social and emotional development can be cultivated through promoting positive school and classroom climates. Content focuses on helping students develop skills in self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationships skills, and responsible decision-making. Pre-requisite: EDSP 471 . Pre-requisite(s) do not apply to Alternative Route to Licensure (ARL) and Alternative Route to Certification (ARC) majors.
