Play Theory, Creativity and Aesthetics in Early Childhood Education

This course is designed to introduce students to the sources, concepts, theory and experience of play, examination of the nature of creative expression, and use of materials and activities to support the aesthetic domain of young children. The course will offer varied experiences, readings, and group process in order to provide a means of experiencing how and why play is essential for child development and learning.
