Catalog description

This course focuses on the fundamental principles of quantum mechanics, spectroscopy and statistical mechanics. Students will learn about key quantum mechanical models such as the particle-in-a-box, harmonic oscillator, and rigid rotor and be able to apply the Schrödinger equation to them. Pre-requisite(s): CHEM 421 , MATH 182
