Catalog description

This laboratory course reinforces concepts introduced in BIOL 405 . Modern molecular biology techniques addressed will include: protein purification, enzyme catalysis and regulation, gel electrophoresis, Western and Southern blotting, DNA extraction, transformation, gene regulation and bioinformatics with special emphasis on demonstrating scientific writing and dissemination of technical information into a broader community. Pre-requisite(s): CHEM 474 ;  All pre-requisite(s) must have a grade of C- or higher. Course fee of $50. Lab Credits: 2
