Catalog description

This course is designed to provide graduate candidates with the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of the engineering design process and its application in formal and informal education settings. Candidates will engage with a variety of texts (e.g. children's books, young adult literature, current events) to examine real-world problems and design investigations that apply the engineering design process. Emphasis will be placed on analyzing texts to uncover authentic challenges and real-world problems that integrate STEM. Candidates will be provided with tools and resources to thoughtfully create inquiry-driven lessons that can be implemented in diverse P-12 learning environments.
