Catalog description

This course offers a comprehensive introduction to Mixed Methods Research (MMR), which is the collection and integration of qualitative and quantitative research data. Students will gain insights into data sources, analytical techniques, and its role in achieving equitable research outcomes. This includes writing and evaluating MMR studies and considering advanced topics including the future of MMR and innovations like advanced software and joint displays. Students will complete a research proposal or a mini-MMR project (using existing data), and present and provide feedback to their peers. The course is intended for graduate researchers aiming to utilize both qualitative and quantitative approaches.
