Catalog description

This course approaches Quality Management from a practical quantitative-oriented point of view. Throughout this course, students will be introduced to all five steps of the six sigma continuous process improvement (Define, Measure, Analyze, Implement, and Control). The assignments are designed in project-based formats, in which students will initiate their own process improvement project and follow through with each step for a final grade. Upon the completion of this course, students will understand the ever-evolving nature of quality and quality management. They will also have practical experience in initiating and managing process improvement project at small scale and apply six sigma in their future work. (Cross-listed with BSAD 8446 , MGMT 4440 ).
