WARGAMING LAB

Catalog description

This course will explore, develop, practice, and analyze a series of wargaming scenarios, ranging from traditional military security to business, emergency management, and cybersecurity. While the term wargaming might conjure your local Dungeons and Dragons club, increasingly governments, businesses, and other organizations are applying wargames to test readiness, identify problems before they arise, and familiarize critical personnel with possible futures. In this lab, students will participate in the development of three plausible, yet imaginative scenarios of near-future events featuring civilian and military topics (e.g., business, cybersecurity, emergency management, international diplomacy, and military conflict), analyze the results, and apply lessons learned to their future career fields.
