PHYSICS FOR LIFE SCIENCE I

Catalog description

This course is the first part of a two-semester series designed for students with no prior background in physics. Students will develop problem-solving skills and a conceptual understanding of physics by exploring topics such as motion, forces, energy, equilibrium, elasticity, and thermodynamics. Through experiments, simulations, and problem sets, students will apply physics principles to real-world scenarios, including biological phenomena such as viscosity, drag, osmosis, and diffusion. The course focuses on foundational concepts in mechanics, heat, and fluid dynamics, with an emphasis on applications relevant to biological and life sciences.
