This course examines the ethical, legal, and social complexities of artificial intelligence, particularly generative AI. Students will use normative ethical theories and real-world case studies to explore the multifaceted moral challenges presented by the expanding capabilities and uses of AI. This course develops the critical evaluation abilities needed to navigate the rapidly evolving ethical and legal landscape of AI, and prepares students to contribute to responsible development and deployment of this transformative technology.
