Catalog description

This course will explore pedagogical and practical methods that promote alternative genres of singing in music education and performance. Contemporary genres covered include country/folk, pop, rock, and jazz/blues, and other legitimate genres of contemporary singing. It is designed for music students to become well-informed about the singing styles and techniques outside the classical music realm. (Cross-listed with MUS 8636 ).
