Catalog description

This graduate-level course examines the financial and economic foundations necessary to manage and optimize healthcare supply chain operations. Students will analyze how cost structures, budgeting, and capital investment decisions influence operational efficiency and organizational value. The course emphasizes the integration of financial data with supply chain decision-making - including cost control, forecasting, value analysis, and return-on-investment (ROI) calculations. Through applied case studies and data-driven exercises, learners will build the skills to interpret financial statements, manage departmental budgets, assess key performance indicators (KPIs), and align financial strategies with system-wide goals for sustainability and resilience to prepare for senior management and executive decision-making roles.
