Catalog description

The world needs individuals who can navigate the complexities of communication across cultural and geographic borders. The development of greater intercultural understanding has become an essential element of being successful in an increasingly globalized world. Through assignments such as film analysis and critical reflection on documentaries, this course will examine the international and intercultural perspective of communication. Students will be provided with a repertoire of cultural knowledge and communication skills for the mutual exchange of ideas and cultural norms in multicultural contexts.
