Catalog description

This course is designed to increase students' understanding and knowledge of how organizations are designed and structured in order to create value and competitive advantage, and how organizations can operate in an effective and efficient manner in an ever-changing environment. The course will address topics such as: organizational effectiveness, organizational structure, organizational design, organizational culture, organizational technology, the external environment, organizational change, and the organizational life cycle. The ultimate goal is for students to be able to understand how organizations should be structured as a result of both external and internal factors. (Cross-listed with MGMT 8300 ).
