Catalog description

This course prepares students for the FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Practical Examination by applying foundational knowledge from Dispatch I to real-world dispatch scenarios. Students develop the skills required to plan and monitor flights in accordance with Part 121/135 operations and FAA regulations. Emphasis is placed on manually planning IFR flights, reading and interpreting aeronautical charts and performance graphs, and completing dispatch releases and load manifests. Students will analyze weather, fuel, and operational considerations while engaging in scenario-based exercises and mock oral evaluations to build proficiency in answering questions aligned with the Aircraft Dispatcher Practical Test Standards and industry expectations for certificated aircraft dispatchers. The Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) detailed below mirror the FAA requirements for certification and licensure outlined to obtain an Aircraft Dispatcher certificate.
