Catalog description
Students will be introduced to the visual arts of Indigenous nations, from the historical era to the present through a wide range of art forms, including ceramics, architecture, paintings, sculpture, and mixed media. The students will analyze the relationship of historic and contemporary Indigenous art within the continuity and innovation of their cultural traditions as well as examine the ethics of collecting and displaying art of Native nations.
