Catalog description
This course introduces students to basic principles and aesthetic considerations of computer-generated imagery and interactive virtual spaces. The course will focus on using computers as a tool to create three-dimensional virtual art forms and design interactive art spaces and navigable virtual/game worlds. The course exposes students to various theoretical and aesthetic positions and encourages them to think of CGI and virtual space building as an art-making process. Students will produce artwork by acquiring technical skills and exploring creative uses within the medium.
