Examines the way Caribbean subjects see and represent themselves within a globalized world though contemporary Caribbean literature and culture with a focus on the French-speaking and the Spanish-speaking islands. Analyzes how authors and artists have undertaken topics such as migration, rebellion, violence, slavery, race, gender, and environmental disaster.
